Good morning,

There's a question that some of us reflect on from time to time.

"What was I created to do career-wise?"

And, once we ask that question, we search for resources to help us find clarity on and confidence in the career path we're pursuing.

Career coach Ken Coleman, who hosts the helpful The Ken Coleman Show, shares the following:

"Here’s the truth: We were all created to fill a unique role. You are needed. And you must do it. There is someone out there who needs you to be you.

So, how do you make the kind of contribution to this world that you were created to make? By doing work you’re passionate about - work that you love. It makes the time fly by when you're doing it, and you leave the office feeling satisfied."

Why does it make sense of get clear about your career path?

  1. To identify your top talents, passions and mission. Knowing yourself is the first step on the path to career clarity.
  2. To take your top talents, passions and mission and figure out where they all intersect.
  3. To pinpoint roles that fit in your career sweet spot so you can begin looking for the right job opportunities.

Suggested Action Steps:

  1. Use the Career Clarity Guide: download the 5 page resource from Ken Coleman, fill it out within the next day, and then reflect on your skills, experience, passions, and the career options that would be a good fit for you.
  2. Listen to The Career Planning Show: this is a 40 episodes podcast I released some time ago, which can be helpful as you look to advance on your career journey.
  3. Take action: After getting clear about your career and listening to some podcast interviews for inspiration, it's important to take action. Set goals such as applying to 5 to 10 jobs per day, learn a new skill, etc., and execute on your goals.

I wish you continued success as you advance on your career journey!

All the best,
Alex Rășcanu

P.S. It would be great to catch up with you in person at one of the upcoming #ExperienceTO historical tours I am facilitating: Parkdale, Baby Point, Dufferin Grove, and Swansea.

The Rășcanu Weekly Update Lesson 56: Reflect on who has positively impacted your life Hi friend,Today I turned 40 years old. My wife, children and I had a small celebration in the morning, and the rest of the day involved many tasks relating to our house in the Upper Beaches now being available for sale (if you know anyone looking to move close to the Beach, kindly let them know about it) and other family responsibilities. Once I got some downtime this evening, I realized that it would be...
